Koko Bruni

Koko Bruni is a chocolatier on Garosugil. I had an iced spicy chocolate drink and it was yum.

The chocolate wasn't too sweet or overwheming (catered to Korean tastes) and it had a hint of cinnamon and spice.

They also have chocolate cakes and chocolates.

I will be going there once a month now. Also, good people watching because it is on a pretty street with pretty people.

Nonhyeon Samgyetang

I always blog about the good food but not the bad food I eat here.

Just so you know that this place isn't worth going to, nonhyeon samgyetang. They specialize in a clear broth samgyetang (stuffed cornish hen with glutinous rice) and I have read some people say they prefer the clear broth.

To me, the clear broth lacked that ginseng flavor that I find essential for a good samgyetang. The kimchi and squid banchans (side dishes) were good but I give the chicken 2.5 out of 5 stars.

If they have 6 locations in Seoul, my grandfather should open up a samgyetang spot and it would do better than this.

Lil Wayne on Sports

Lil Wayne love sports. I love Lil Wayne. Therefore I feel a need to know Lil Wayne's thoughts on sports. I love his ESPN blog.

Answering some reader's questions:

Peter in Fresno: Wayne who do you think was a better scorer in his prime, Kobe or Michael?

Kobe. I'm going solely based on style points here, because both of those guys can pretty much score whenever they feel like it. Jordan hit you in the face but Kobe hits you right in the mouth. It's different. Jordan would take the layup sometimes, but Kobe's not going to do that. He's gonna dunk it on you right in front of your mom and your kids.

Michael in Chicago: What is your favorite thing to eat at a ballgame?

That is another great question. I always try to have some nachos, Michael. The nachos in New Orleans are so amazing I have literally missed the game because of 'em. But I don't eat jalapenos or anything too crazy like that because it's not good when you have to use the bathroom later. Also, I'm not sure if it was just because it was me or if the food across the whole stadium is this good, but shout out to the Rays for having the most amazing food at that playoff game I went to. That was more than just nachos, and I appreciate it. Shout out to you guys.

Lil Wayne, why is a goon nothing compared to a goblin? And are the raiders the Goons of the NFL and the Titans the Goblins?
Let's say you're a goon. Well, what's a goon to a goblin? Nothing. They're the same thing. So are the Raiders goons and the Titans the goblins? No, because the Titans are having an amazing year and the Raiders have been not so amazing. If you're going for a goons and goblins reference, I would say if you're calling Oakland goons I would use Jacksonville or St. Louis as goblins. Or if you want, to use the Titans as goons, the Giants would be your goblins. You gotta pick teams that are on the same page when you making that analogy.

October and September are Going to be Amazing

Just booked my trip to Osaka and looking forward to Bali.

Next Thursday is my last day of work for a month.

So far this year I have taken off 9 weeks:

3 weeks in Cali

6 weeks in Korea (2 weeks before my job started and 4 weeks upcoming).

Every year should be like this. The real world is so over rated.

Yelling at Kids because that is my job

So when I teach, I rarely like to yell or chastise my students because I feel students want to study harder when they actually like you.

But when you have to throw down, you have to throw down.

My 12 year old wanted to use a calculator for her math homework. I was adamantly against this.

When you are in middle school you should practice what 8x11 is and know that it is 88. This way when you are 30 and you need to go math in your head, you won't need to use a cell phone. Hate it or love it, this is what middle school is for: the fundamentals for the rest of your life.

So today, for the very rare occasion I balled out my student because she insisted on using a calculator to find out what 12/4 is. That ain't gonna fly with me.

Getting my Korean driver's License tomorrow

That is so hardcore.

I can't go to sleep at night

I was up till 4 in the morning thinking about all the things I want to show Peter when he gets here next Friday.

I could NOT go to sleep. If this happens every night for 9 nights, I am in trouble.

I am like a little kid on a drive to the toy store, the anticipation is killing me...
