St Augustin

St Augustin is an Asian fushion and wine restaurant on Garosugil.

I did not eat there but had wine and they are pretty generous with the pours. It is nice because whenever I order wine in Seoul it is always on the light side.

The inside of the restaurant is pretty and the waiters were nice. I wanted more cheese and they gave me a bowlful.

Sure the cheese was the cubed Laughing Cow kind (they love that cheese here, not sure why) but there is something very satisfying about cubed cheese that is basically just cream cheese.

Call me a fatty, whatever.

Recommended if you want western alcohol on Garsugil.

Italian Date night

I have been scared of Italian in Korea because I hear that the italian is sweet here. I'm not a fan of mixing savory with sweet (except in 떡볶이/tteokbokki/rice cakes in chilli sauce).

However, I was craving red wine like woah so we decided to go to Italian around 압구정 (Apkujeong, like the Soho of Seoul I would say). The food was tasty! Good date night with my Seoul mate Brian. I know, really bad pun, I am a cornball.

Salad with poached egg:

Bread, not brownies as my date had hoped

Gnocci, strange bc the gnoccis were so big but executed well. The gnoccis were light and airy like pillows of potato goodness...

Spaghetti Vongole, good amount of clams

Sooooo good...chocolate fondant. We almost licked the plate
