Media Poles

They have these things called Media Poles in Gangnam. You can take pictures, see an interactive map, search engine, get the news, other stuff for free. I wasn't kidding when I said Korea is the most digitally advanced country in the world.

See the light, one of the poles:

Koreans love Tv

So Korea is the most digitally/techie advanced country in the world (suck it Japan!). So it makes sense that TV is available everywhere. No one reads on the subway because everyone's cell phones get TV reception. I am fine with watching TV on the subway. When my cab driver is watching TV while driving me during a monsoon rain, not so much. Although, I got to say watching actual TV sure beats the yellow cab screens with the lamest TV segments and commercials. I watched the typical Korean show highlighting the plight of some unfortunate brethren, a guy who had no use of his arms but had perfect use of his toes and even held a job with his limited mobility. Suffice to say I shed a tear during this cab ride.
