Bootylicious

Today, we had a reading passage on slang words.

So when you teach new words you are suppose to identify roots and suffixes.

Lesson:

Me: Class, can we try to figure out what bootylicious means? What does booty mean?

Students: Uh....butt?

Me: what does 'licious' look like?

Silence

Me: Does it look like 'delicious'? It does right?! So bootylicious means your butt looks delicious. A good synonym for 'delicious' is 'delectable'. Write that down in your notes everyone.

Maybe not the most important word to know for the SAT but I have to spice things up and also technically the word is in the Merriam Webster dictionary.
